Children’s Unit Appeal

Please support the CUH Charity Children’s Unit Appeal to provide state-of-the -art equipment and facilities for the children who attend Cork University Hospital.

Over 40,000 children attend the hospital annually. Up to 95% of the CUH’s young patients receive all their treatment on site, without requiring referral to the Dublin Children’s Hospitals. The hospital is a specialist centre for children with a wide range of illnesses including cystic fibrosis, diabetes, neurology, respiratory and epilepsy so there is always a list of new equipment this is needed and areas to be improved.

We are looking for your support to raise funds for a dedicated Emergency Department Children’s Unit, a new X-ray machine, a dedicated Children’s Operating Theatre and for the revamping of the Puffin Ward.

With a planning application to go ahead shortly for a new €60 million Children’s Hospital, the charity will be actively engaging with fundraising initiatives across the community to ensure children’s services are equipped to the highest international standards. The new hospital will transform children’s healthcare in the region. Moving all our children’s care under one roof means every child will be able to avail of fully integrated, multidisciplinary care. It will be a single centre of excellence providing an extensive range of specialist services for children.

Please support us in the provision of essential equipment and refurbishment works by making a donation today.

Thank you
