Cork University Hospital (CUH) is one of the biggest and busiest hospitals in Ireland. It covers Cork, Limerick, Kerry, Tipperary, Waterford and Kilkenny and serves a population of over 1.1 million.
CUH marked its 40th anniversary in 2018. The hospital houses 40 medical and surgical specialities in one campus, is one of the largest teaching hospitals in Ireland and is the only Level 1 Trauma Centre in Ireland.
CUH is the location of the Regional Cancer Centre – the designated cancer centre for the region and one of the largest in Ireland. It is a Centre of Excellence for Cancer Services, Paediatrics, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Cystic Fibrosis and Respiratory, among other areas of medicine.
