In addition to the public information stand, the OCTU will host information session on the particular activities of the OCTU, in the Oncology Conference Room, Thursday 19th May from 1.00 – 1.30pm or 1.30pm – 2.00 pm and again on Friday 20th May from 1.00 to 2.00pm.
Each year, the International Clinical Trials’ Day is celebrated around the world on or near the 20th of May in order to mark the day that James Lind began his famous controlled trial comparing the different treatments for scurvy year on the 20th of May 1747 (*www.jameslindlibrary.org).
The objective is to make the International Clinical Trials’ Day a focal point for international communication events, meetings, debates, and celebrations of clinical research.
