Introducing Infant Transport Pods – possible because of your generosity

Our youngest and most vulnerable patients must occasionally be moved from CUH/CUMH to other hospitals for vital procedures. This is done either by ambulance or aircraft. We must ensure these critically unwell babies are safe during the trip. 

Travelling between hospitals can be taxing for parents, as well. It’s hard to say just how important it is to them to see their baby as they travel. They need to
know their child is safe! We needed a safer way to transport these babies for their treatment. Thanks to your support, we were able to purchase Infant Transport Pods. While in transit, these allow medical staff to monitor the babies closely. Parents can also now see their baby during the transport, easing their worry throughout the journey.
Equipment purchases like these are only possible with your help. They help babies and parents, but they also have a huge affect on staff morale. Our medical staff know how important it is to keep these tiny patients safe! Thanks to you, this equipment will transport 70 babies each year, safely. Thank you!
